Being able to discuss and share recipes has always been something we enjoy with our customers.  Exploring quick and easy ways to prepare food, yet maintaining the health and nutritional value, ​is a plus for customers who have full schedules. 

RECIPES OF THE MONTH

Sauteed Kale with Apples and Bacon

 

 

Ingredients:

 

  10 cups Kale

    1 large apple, sliced

    1 large onion, sliced

    4 strips of bacon

    1 tbsp cider vinegar

     salt and pepper to taste

 

On medium heat, cook the bacon, cool, and crumble.  

 

Add sliced apples and onions in bacon dripping and saute for 4-6 minutes or until tender.

 

Add kale, salt, and pepper and cook, stirring occassionaly until kale is tender.   Add vinegar and crumbled bacon.
